
The unique Tropicana Ripening method is based on 40 years of experience and produces bananas with a beautiful bloom, colour and flavor and a longer shelf life.
Using different ripening procedures to get the best results for both our banana varieties, our state-of-the-art facilities are checked daily for optimum ripening. Temperature and humidity are carefully controlled throughout. We also supplement the natural ethylene gas produced by bananas during ripening with bottled gas to ensure consistent ripening for up to 30 tonnes of bananas at a time. Used together, all these techniques produce top quality, fresh bananas, ready for transport and sale.
